Many schools and universities are faced with crossover practices,
where two or more teams must share a facility for practice. This creates
two problems: 1) track athletes and joggers being hit by stray balls
from the in-field; and 2) teams wasting practice time either searching
for, or avoiding tripping on, loose balls. AAE's solution is our protective
safety netting called the HBS BallStopper System - available in self-standing
and ground sleeve models to accommodate both synthetic and natural
turf fields.
Model HBS-1 is comprised of 2-3/8" diameter, heavy-wall aluminum
uprights installed into ground sleeves. Synthetic treated netting
(1-3/4" sq. x 10' high) has a permanently attached coated galvanized
steel cable on top and a MFP rope border on the bottom. Brass snaps
permit netting to be lowered easily after use or as required. Bottom
of netting can also be raised to allow lawnmowers access to the area
for cutting.
A mill finish is standard for uprights and bases; however, a custom
powder-coated finish is also available for an additional cost.
