TAKE
IT FROM A PRO
David Akers is a pro who recognizes the advantages that the Accu-Kick
offers to your kickers. From the adjustable uprights to the reversible,
two-tone goalposts, Akers knows an innovative product when he sees
one. In fact, he claims that it is his most valuable training tool.
David Akers, famed Philadelphia Eagles kicker, is excited enough about
the Accu-Kick to stake his reputation on it. And what a fantastic
reputation it is!
Now in his sixth year, the former Louisville Cardinal has become
one of the most consistent and productive place-kickers in the NFL.
He's played in two Pro Bowls and will probably enjoy his third in
February 2005. The 30-year-old Akers already has kicked the most field
goals in team history, has the most career postseason points (58),
holds the club record for consecutive PATs made and is the first Eagle
to ever post five straight 100-plus-point seasons. He also owns three
of the six longest field goals in Birds history, has posted the team's
top four consecutive FGs streaks -17, 13 (twice) and 12 - and has
a career success rate of over 95 percent on field goals inside 40
yards.
From the roaring crowds to other sideline distractions, visualization
techniques play a vital part in the kicking game. Confidence building
is also a key element. Practicing with the Accu-Kick provides a tighter
target (and the right color uprights) that will train a kicker to
have greater accuracy and confidence during stressful "make-it
or break-it" situations - with which David Akers has been extremely
successful. It will challenge kickers to rise to a level above those
reached with any traditional fixed upright practice goal. The "Accu-Kick
Advantage" is a reality.
